A Bunch of Questions With No Answers is a 23-hour film documenting the unyielding efforts of journalists who repeatedly questioned the U.S. state department about the Gaza genocide—only to be met with lengthy, evasive answers. Partnered with a lack of will from broadcasters, print platforms as well as politicians - how do questions themselves become a way the news plays out?
This event unfolds as a collective viewing response, where the filmmaker is joined by three invited discussants who respond to the film in conversation. Audience responses will also be woven in throughout the event, creating a shared inquiry into the challenges, limits, and persistence of journalism in the face of political indifference.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to ask questions that are never answered, what the nature of this relationship becomes and what kind of public record is created in the act of asking.
